I have been tutoring and teaching GCSE and A level Physics at secondary schools in South Wales for over 10 years. I have developed schemes of work and lesson plans, for pupils entering exams set by the WJEC (and other exam boards), and during the last 5 years I have also been contracted to the WJEC as an examiner for Physics.
My experience has given me an in-depth knowledge of the content required, and the strategies and techniques needed for my tutees to gain the best possible grades in their exams.
I went to school in Penarth, South Wales, and went on to gain a Physics degree from Imperial College London, and a Masters degree in engineering from Cornell University in New York State.
After many years as an engineer for high technology companies in the UK and the US, I returned to Penarth. I have 3 children, and as they became involved in the education system, I decided to train as a teacher, to be able to pass on the passion and enthusiasm I have for science and Physics.
